Kiboko is a lovely little vegan restaurant in the heart of Shinjuku. Although it is right above a busy intersection, it is surprisingly peaceful. You can watch the scenery from the window and unwind while enjoying tasty vegan tapas. Have a glass of wine, forget about your everyday hustle and bustle and relax in this lovely restaurant.

It's a tiny restaurant with a nice and welcoming atmosphere. The owner is very friendly and although she isn't fluent in English, she will do her best to make you feel at home.
Kiboko is an unpretentious restaurant where you can enjoy vegan cuisine prepared with the uttermost case and fine organic ingredients.

The concept of the restaurant is a place for busy people to come have a healthy meal and take the time to unwind, regardless of them being vegan or not.

Menu

There are many tasty tapas to try at this restaurant; from the wine to the seasonal vegetables, everything is selected carefully. If you speak Japanese, you can select from one of the dishes on the signboard, if you don't but are feeling adventurous, just randomly point at the wall and wait in anticipation for your dish. However, worry not, there is an English menu!

The restaurant calls itself a Japanese pub, but they have many international dishes as well! From Austrian wine to ajillo.

If you strictly want to have
Coriander Gyozas (dumplings), ¥800
The restaurant calls itself a Japanese pub, but they have many international dishes as well! From Austrian wine to ajillo.

If you strictly want to have Japanese vegan cuisine, you're in luck! There are so many tasty dishes to try, such as the Japanese deep-fried mock chicken, the faux-meat skewers, and the coriander gyozas pictured above. The gyozas are made with 10 types of vegetables and the sauce is made with a Japanese vinegar. The owner said that even people who don't like coriander can enjoy this dish!

Spanish Omelette, 1 piece ¥500
When you try the Spanish omelette, you'll be quite amazed it's vegan. It's great with a nice glass of red wine. Another must-try dish is the cheese tortellini. It's perfect for sharing, but you might end up ordering another plate anyway.

Finally...

This restaurant isn't the easiest to find, but you'll be so glad you did!
It is right beside a Doutor Cafe and across from a 7/11. You have to find a small staircase and go up to the 4th floor.
Come enjoy vegan food in this small, yet welcoming restaurant. You'll definitely be back again before you know it!
